Raketech governance has described 2018 as a milestone year that featured “strong financial development and many strategic achievements”.
Publishing its full-year 2018 report yesterday, the Stockholm-listed affiliate network recorded revenue growth of 49%, organic growth of 30%, 49% EBITDA growth and 48% growth in new depositing customers (NDCs).
This across-the-board growth occurred during a year laden with expansion and acquisition. In April the firm announced the launch of TVsportguide.com; in May it announced the acquisition of several Swedish casino assets; in November it launched Esportsguide.com; while in December it entered into a finance agreement with Swedbank with the aim of strengthening and optimising capital structure.
The firm also stressed the desire to drive affiliate growth through acting responsibly and sustainably. “Responsible gaming could be the single most important area in the igaming business and as a well established affiliate group, we want to lead by example. In the past year, we took several important steps in further professionalising our operations and to go above and beyond in terms of compliance,” expanded the firm’s CEO Michael Holmberg.
“One highlight is our membership in Sper, a Swedish gambling association with the goal of protecting consumers and stakeholders in the regulated Swedish gambling market. We have joined a group of well-recognised and regulated companies as the first affiliate member, with a shared goal of protecting the long-term sustainability of a re-regulated Swedish gaming industry.”
